It is unfortunate in our society and cultures that we are faced with a major problem that is not very obvious to all of us and this is being true to our words.
saying and doing can be two different things
Often our actions do not follow up with the words we say and in some cases completely contrary to what we have said.
Words can be very easily crafted for the right audience but the actions are what determine our true intentions.
‘Integrity’ which can often be termed congruency defines what we say in words and what we actually do in practice and this can be missing in many people’s lives.
We are almost always left in a position that this person will or will not do what was said and think nothing of it.
Unfortunately, it is this aspect of behavior that we are all becoming accustomed to that if not checked, will prevail and stifle human development.

We have seen and heard of people of integrity in our lifetimes, the individuals who hold steadfast to what they say, despite the temptation to go back on their words.
For example, people like Mohmat Ghandi, Sister Theresa and so on.

All of us to a smaller scale have issues with this where we are unable to keep the smallest of promises to loved ones or anyone else for that matter.
In some cultures, two people can make a plan for the future and either of them can break it, it is considered quite acceptable.
The question of trust does not come into it as both parties do not hold the upcoming event as anything life changing or of any importance and so words and intentions are never come together.
