Karen ordered chicken rossini while Joe was still contemplating the fish dish that he wanted.
He finally asked the waiter ‘what is the fish specialty you have for today’.
The waiter rattled of some dishes and Joe settled on the mahi mahi with broccoli, although he would have loved the shrimp dish but he realized he needed a change.
“Do you cook much”, Joe asked Karen.
“Actually, I do, I can make this wonderful lentil dish but you must add tomatoes, that brings out the best flavor’.
This was music to his ears, because Joe loved cooking himself and many a people have commended him on his cooking.
But Joe is a very modest person.

One of the important aspects of human psychology that Joe came to learn over the many years of socializing is that some people choose to behave the way they do intentionally or some without knowing.
He has slowly come to understand that some people are just simply wired this way and to get frustrated over these personality nuances is just not worthwhile.
Some people are opportunists, some very quiet, some over the top, some like playing games, so on and so on. Joe has often thought how other people think of him.
Sometimes words may not be spoken, but by their greetings, mannerism and the type of reception he gets when bumping into other folks can also convey this.

We often find that this kind of problem can be resolved in other ways as in the case giving the person some space or at the tipping point of separation.
Unfortunately, when going to extremes like this, the result may not be favorable because the person can harbor ill feelings if he/she does not see it as a big problem.

we may remain ignorant until a light bulb goes off inside of our heads
The true response we want is that the person can see the whole picture and it’s like having a light bulb going off inside of their head.
If we meet this person equally on an aggressive scale, the conflict is rarely resolved and it takes one of strong character and foresight to make it work.

I have often heard of women who say that they can change their man in time from certain habits or behavior they dislike.
This rarely happens and can often be more damaging to relationships as the act can be construed as manipulative and not trustworthy.

forcing or trying to make someone change
Individuals having to deal with their own understanding of the problem and they first need to accept this as a problem.
Only then can they truly hope to solve the problems. Some women will continuously nag without looking into the real resolution required to solve the problem.
This may have originated from our parents who did the same when we were kinds and repetition was necessary in order to discipline the child.
However, the situation changes when we are grown up adults.

Often men will make that change if push comes to shove but they almost always resume their previous mode of thinking when the heat of the moment is gone.
There could be a number of reasons why men choose to behave like this ie. laziness, trying to get attention, expectation that nagging is just part of life.

being lazy can make it difficult for someone to change their ways
Some men don’t have the tolerance for nagging and if they choose not to do anything about it, can build up resentment for the other person.
Communication is essential to further development otherwise nagging and expectations for each other can be taken for granted.
