Login & Customizing Profiles

After completing the registration successfully, you are automatically logged into the site.

Customization on this site is just like any other dating site, you can see the % of your profile completed and make this near to 100% by providing additional information about yourself and your seeking partner.

Photo Profile Section

Uploading of the photos can be done only from your computer as there is no import facility from any of the social networking sites. You can upload up to 10 photos including your primary profile picture.

There are certain guidelines for uploading photographs which includes a ‘well-lit’ photo that allows other members to see you more clearly. Group photos are allowed provided that it doesn’t have more than three people in the picture.

Pictures containing URL’s, or contact information, profane hand gestures, copyrighted materials, artwork, pets, childhood photos , landscapes, specific body parts, tattoos or body piercing are not accepted. In the Advanced Search, you have to give the required criteria of age range, gender, relationship type, height, weight range and your location. You can also conduct searches on the basis of optional criteria that are given like body type, hair, eye color, career, religion etc.

Messaging

Messaging is the core feature of any dating or social networking website and Amor.com is no different to this pack and is designed well. You can do IM’s, chat, send mail and gifts to the other users of the site. You have the ability to show your interest and add any member to your favorite list. However, you will need a subscription to use these messaging features.

Other Features

The site does not have many additional features that could be described here. Being a paid site, I find this rather disappointing. You can save your searches which will help you next time for finding your matches. Also you can view the featured stories, advice and articles related to dating. Online members and the growing members list can also be seen.

It will be harsh to decide the longevity of any site within a few hours. According to the searches I conducted, I am expecting a healthy response from the members as I found many serious daters on the site.

Conclusion

The look and feel of the website is quite pretty and very much attractive. The combination of red and white color gives it visual appeal.

Registration to the site is hassle free and fairly quick as compared to other sites.

Login and customization of your profile is easy and can be done with minimum effort.

Photo uploading is only available from your computer and there are certain guidelines for photo uploading but these are necessary for maintaining some decorum on the site.

Browsing through certain areas of the site is exclusively only to paid members so those who are on trial free membership will be disappointed with lack of accessibility. Searching on the site is easy and the search function has been designed nicely.

Messaging is not the best feature and lacking completely for free members.

The member base appears to be good and hosts serious minded daters which may be helpful in finding your match.
