At the end of the day, it is good to have the idea but it must be followed up with a successful plan of implementation, maintenance and growth.
If you were to plan a budget for your venture, plan on spending at least 80% of your budget on maintenance and marketing before you can even begin to see any return on your website.
Most online marketers will tell you that a fancy website with all the bells and whistles doesn’t amount to anything if you don’t have the traffic.
Sure, the bigger companies will spend top dollars to make their site very eye pleasing, but that’s only because they have an established ‘brand’ that they can push.
With newcomers in the field, it’s virtually impossible to get the traffic level or branding in the short space of time and even a slot in the Oprah Winfrey show can be short-lived.
Expect to work hard to push your online marketing efforts towards achieving any decent amount of traffic levels.

<<< Making money online – example through online dating - part 11
We will cover the subject of starting an online venture on a fictitious free online dating service called ‘tigerdates.com’. The first task will be to register a domain name that works for you.
I wouldn’t worry too much about the name but more importantly on the age of the domain name.
If at all possible, try to get a domain name that is a few years old instead of a brand spanking new one.
The age of the domain name has some bearing on the search engine results and the thought process for this comes from common sense.
Say for example, that you registered a new domain that has never been registered before and you went through painstakingly to get the site completed with design and content and you finally submit to Google.
What happens? you can’t find your site anywhere despite the efforts in you search engine optimization that you diligently did prior to the launch.

How to be liked through examples – 12 key pointers
Being likeable or liked is a measure of how other people perceive you and can mean the difference between a long-term relationship or just a fleeting encounter.
This inherent sought after quality by people is what builds relationships and forges lasting relationships.

people talking and making an impression - likeable qualities
It impacts how we do business and affects our daily lives at work, home play with other colleagues, friends, relatives etc.
You may have come across many people with very impressionable and likeable personalities.
These individuals have a good sound character and they are keen observers of people, behavior, body language and other areas when it comes to dealing with people.
These skills can be developed by anyone and I have listed twelve main points in order of importance to enhance those skills necessary to be a likeable person.
Bear in mind that not everyone is going to find you ‘likeable’ and that is perfectly fine.
It is hard to please everyone but the important goal to aim for, is that you are liked by a majority rather than liked by a very few.

(a) When shopping
When you are next out shopping for groceries, instead of just simply keeping quiet while the cashier scans your items, try to say something that will alleviate the mundane chore.
For example, ‘you must have been busy today with all these shoppers’.
This has two advantages, you are breaking up the mundane task by saying something and you have given thought and consideration to the cashier (point 5).
Make sure to keep your conversation to a minimum, depending on how long the line is otherwise you may have engaged the cashier towards ‘small talk’ that will reduce their ability to serve you faster.
This may bring a simile to the cashier’s face but not the people who are lining up behind you who definitely won’t like you for starting the conversation.
