The way this particular company worked was to give each pereson 8 minutes each to chat to 8 potential suitors, so effectively an hour for the whole thing.
They assigned each person a number and each of us were given 8 other numbers where you needed to rotate from one table to another to talk to them.
Naturally they also advised us on the type of questions that one should ask and we were to fill the appropriate sheet accordingly of our interest in the people we spoke with.
The whole event seemed to go fast as we were doing your rounds.
I found some interesting people but none that I felt had any real connection with.
After the event, the host gave us a website link where you can post your interest of the people in the group and see whether the other person had a mutual interest.

Both my friend and I thought it was quite fun and I think it was about $30 each and the food/snacks weren’t anything to shout home about.
After I got back home, I logged into their service I found that this was the area that was lacking in this service.
The design of the system was odd and I finally gave up and never knew if there was any mutual interest from anyone in the party.
Also, one of the problems due to the lack of any effectiveness on their site was that some people never logged in possibly due to the poor interface or something else.
I think the company could have done better to improve on this backend dating system to connect people better.
However, having used and developed a few dating sites myself, I can be somewhat more critical than others.
I went to this 8minute venture about 2 years ago approximately, so I cannot speak for their system now.

Conclusion:
It is worth trying the 8minuteDating process that the company offers but don’t expect lofty results, just go with an open mind and have fun in the process.
There are improvements that the company can make in certain areas such as the online dating system that people need to login to see any mutual interest after the party.
I have often found that companies that focus on the brick and mortar business usually don’t put enough thought and effort to the online business.
I can see this is a difficult business to take off the ground as it depends largely on referral from other users and a somewhat viral marketing.
To improve on this kind of service, requires all the modern technology of online marketing such as social media, efficient email marketing and now mobile marketing.

Dating in the salsa dancing scene
All of us have one time or another have met someone of the opposite sex in many different situations and circumstances.
One of the most common and effective way of meeting someone is through the dancing such as salsa dancing. It is no surprise that dancing is very much liked and appreciated by many women and it’s a great place for men to meet women.

salsa dancing is a great way to meet new people and its also very fun
However, not all men like dancing which is a shame, because it really does open up a wider window for getting potential dates and its also very fun and sociable.
We have seen many singles mixers where the main event is dancing and it just confirms that dancing is a universal language where meeting other singles is acceptable and also sociable.
In salsa dancing which is another form of partner dancing, people can come together easily and make it easier to break the ice, chat, socialize and of course go out on dates.
However, along with this fun social activity it can attract males in droves since they know it can be a common gathering ground for many women.
Women’s safety must come into play first in situations like this and fortunately by taking the necessary steps and advise given here, you can be assured of your safety as well as have a great time in the process.

1. The venue:
Most salsa events can happen in any types of establishment, usually it can be a hall that is rented out by the salsa instructor by the hour.
These halls can be rented in schools, government building, private offices etc.
However, having a good floor is important for this type of venue since dancing can be strenuous on the legs.
For women, these places are usually the most attractive, because there is usually no alcohol served in these premises and does not attract the rough and boisterous men who sometimes get attracted to these places.
However, you can occasionally find a good restaurant/bar that also has a great dance floor and attract the right clientele.
This is where it is important to have a good bouncer at the door that can pick out trouble-makers and keep the place safe.
Women should also turn to friends or anyone they know who are avid salsa dancers and ask for the best venues to go to.
If you happen to live in the Bay Area of California a great resource for finding good establishments is here.. www.salsacruz.com/blog.
