Zack Taylor makes good points on specific items to watch out for so you don’t make the mistakes that he had come across when he was in the online dating scene. Here is a few that I have summarized for your interest.

1. Usernames
Look out for usernames that say something like SexyGrl48, HappyGwen etc. These are sure indicators of what they are not ie. sexy or happy.

2. Headshots
If they only show headshot, they are probably hiding something like their body weight or something else.

3. Ranting profiles
If a woman clearly stipulates ‘no guys that lie or cheat..’, they are likely to have come out of a bad relationship or relationships and will most likely take out their frustration on you.

4. Rebound guy
Avoid women who say they have recently broken up, unless you want to be the rebound guy.

The bottom line is try to read between the lines before raising your expectation.

Here is a rather interesting post on some of the ‘unusual’ dating sites you can find on the net to cater to people with a ‘niche’ taste. I had reported previously two such sites which cater to a niche set of people, these being Cupidtino.com for gadget fans and Tastebuds.fm for music lovers.

There are also many other sites which are popping up to strike a chord with people in a specific area of interest and passion such as sites catering to geeks and animators. See my brief on those sites also.

Basically three dating sites are covered by this post and include Pounced.org, Alt.com and Millionaireflirt.com. The first site pounced.org caters to the ‘furry’ lovers out there, especially people taken to dressing up in furry costumes and of course drawn to feline characteristics.

The Alt.com web site is for people into leather, piercings, collars, chains etc. probably to attract a young student population who are game for this kind of thing. Unfortunately, the site requires a monthly fee of $19.95.

Millionaireflirt.com as noted by the name is for people who are exceptionally rich but the writer does warn of its authenticity as to how many of the members are really members.

Try to get at least 5 dates for the week and set the Valentines day as your target goal. It is not as overwhelming as one thinks.

I want to add that some people often look at the negative aspects of dating and let this defeat them at the onset. It is wise to keep your mind open and think of the unexpected that can happen. Life is more interesting when you actually don’t know what lies ahead.

The site highlights their 100% free sign up, messaging, searching and full features. You can also see the top featured male and female personals on the home page of this website. The site shows many Google advertisements to the left and some other dating sites advertisements to the right of the page.

Registration Process

Similar to other dating sites the registration process is also quick, easy and hassle free. You have to provide basic information such as personality, habits and what are you looking for on this site  and also your username, password, email, date of birth, height, city, country, zip code, smoking, drinking, education, looking for (male/female).

Some sites require you to upload your photo during registration, fortunately this does not. My preference is to do this after I have registered to the site.
