Dr. Dato’s Brief:
Ok, so you had a few minutes to scan the profile but now what?
What should be happening as you were scanning the profile were interesting tit-bits in the profile that interested you and made you pay attention apart from just the profile picture.
The ‘interesting pieces’ that you gleaned from the profile could be anything ie. the person is into needlework, loves traveling, has a crazy job etc. Your next task is to formulate a very simple message that highlights those points and it doesn’t have to be anything earth shattering just simple words to convey an acceptable message.
Remember the analogy, where your best approach to a woman you have never met would be to say something very simple and nothing extraordinary, which usually works.
Before we move to the next set of tips, lets digress for a moment and discuss what happens on the other end ie. the lady that is going to read your message. This is a good visualization process to go through as it will help you better shape your message.

simplicity applies to the real world also, people can better communicate with each other

As the previous post suggested, by actually studying the profile that you will write drastically improves your chances of having a positive response. This simple task leads us to the next tip of actually formulating what to say as an effective ice-breaker.
To give you an example, let’s say that you found a woman across the room to be attractive and you wanted to talk to her. We have found that many lines that are just simply natural does the trick ie. “What do you think of the party?”, “I loved the food, what did you think?”.
Notice how the lines are geared towards a question and also says something about the current event. In the same way, you want to write something that will reflect a ‘common’ ground for a conversation starter which is not boring but interesting.
In the next post we will pick up interesting points from the profile that will make good in your message.

unusual shapes create an interest and we should open our eyes to pick out interesting pieces from other online dating profiles

Dr. Dato’s Brief:
Previously we discussed how it can be a hard task, especially for men to break the ice when it comes to messaging someone they like.
The first thing is to understand that online profiles are very impersonal and you do not want to put too much emotional investment on a dating profile prior to having even communicated or talking to them. This is because the online profile can be starkly different to the actual person as some members have found out. This topic is another conversation to itself, but first lets talk about in improving your first opening line so you chances are greatly improved.
Tip 1 - Study the profile - spend 1 minute minimum in scanning the profile, thats all it takes

some little research is all it takes to improve your communication skills

Dr. Dato’s Brief:
Say you have found a potential mate online that is worth meeting in person, what to wear, where to go, what to say maybe very confusing at the beginning. The important thing is to look at this date with some positiveness and see it as a learning experience.
In this way, you will feel better prepared for the date, don’t agonize over yourself on how you should behave and what to say, just make sure to ask questions and be very polite and courteous whenever possible. This creates a good impression and allows both persons to be at more ease with each other and not feel awkward around each other. Let the man drive the conversation and be well mannered with your responses but do talk about subjects that are interesting to both of you.
When meeting for a date, not only should you meet in a public place, do let someone like your friend or relative know where you are going just to be on the safe side.

keep your conversations light hearted during the date
