A netbook is great for travel and is capable of many of the remote computer tasks that travelers have to do whilst away like checking emails, writing documents etc.

More so, if you have the right applications and files backed up in your netbook you can extend it’s functionality.

I usually carry a card reader with me so I can download my camera pictures to my laptop.

The other essential item although not for everyone is the ubiquitous mp3 player.

Prior to leaving, check that you have your favorite music collection uploaded to the mp3 player.

Take your most popular headphones you use to listen to your tracks as well as a second pair of headphones just in case.

On this kind of occasion, it is always a good idea to take some portable speakers with you so that you and your date can listen to music together whilst you are in your room.
