Although the ‘chase’ is not a bad thing providing it is not exploited with ill intent of simply acquiring gifts, lavishes of attention and other materialistic goods.
It is definitely immoral to have someone chase with no real-intention of ever fulfilling the desires of the other person.
Although there have been cases where a man may have persevered sufficiently enough to convince the woman of his suitability as a mate.
One big factor that comes about not necessarily through the aspect of manipulation but from the way the relationship evolves.
Let’s say a man is interested in a woman he then chooses to pursue this woman as he finds her very desirable.
Depending on the mindset of the woman, she may rebuff his advances purely because there is no real interest from her side.
She may find herself in a situation where the man is very persistent and is longing for her.
In this case, she may unwittingly ward off further advances and thus aggravate the situation where the man does not see any real need to stop.
It is at this point, where a woman can be endowed with sufficient power to manipulate the situation to her needs.
She can clearly see that she has the upper hand in this situation and easily make demands on the other person.
If her real intentions are to simply acquire worldly goods and satisfy her own desires, then clearly she is self-centered and turning the situation to her advantage. Some may construe this to be a manipulative act whereas other may see it differently.
