The article is written by Ilana Angel who has been on the online dating scene for a number of years. She comments on the above sites mentioned but also talks about her experience with JDate which is a dating site catering to the Jewish. She didn’t have anything good to say about that site.
In particular, her comments relate to how men can give misleading information on their profile and she has learnt to categorize the men into two groups; those with potential and those who are clearly not.
She praises POF (plentyoffish) website and finds it refreshingly different and thinks that this maybe due to the site being free where people are more likely to be upfront.
My 2 cents.. although these large dating sites cater to the masses, it can make finding the right partner a bit daunting. Without sounding discriminatory, I think dating sites should start thinking about organizing their members into specific groups or categories. Hmm, sounds like an idea for a great dating site, I wonder.

This is a typical article where people simply try to put substance over something they already know and try to make out that they have something unique.
Essentially it talks about how to behave with women during a date, which most grown up adults are likely to know anyways. There is no secret to online dating as this miniature article of probably 200 words tries to claim.
If you want my advice to the secrets of online dating then here it is…
It will not come to you by magic and definitely not in half a page biopsy. You will need to work hard at being good in this growing area of online dating.
Success is reflected from people who have worked at it and understand the nuances of online dating. They are probably signed up with a few of the top subscriber based online dating sites in addition to some of the 100% free dating sites. Most of all they have had the patience to go through diligently trying each of the sites regularly with the anticipation that they will meet the partners of their choice.
What can be more sexier to a woman than a partner who works hard at getting things he wants in life!

Catchsocial.com is trying to do what others have been trying to do for years and that is to organize events coupled to the online dating scene. The fact of the matter is that to do BOTH simultaneously takes real hard work and not many have succeeded.
Take for example speed dating where entrepreneurs have tried to tie the online scene to the actual events hosted by them. I had previously reported in my article of one company who did a fairly good job on the brick and mortar of speed dating but failed miserably in their online system.
Marrying the two ie. brick and mortar business with the online business is way too difficult, particularly if you don’t have the resources or capital.
My motto, stick to one or the other, specialize in that niche market and then expand.

Here is an interesting article that talks about how more people in particular men now choose to look for women who are not outrageously attractive. It goes on to say that the reasons for this is due to the greater chance of getting hits with women of less caliber in the beauty stakes.
It makes a point where one man suggested that Angelina Jolie was physically repulsive to him.
I think the truth of this story is that grown men, ie. mature men often look beyond the looks department since they are aware that personality is the biggest trait that they will have to live with and not just the looks.
How often have you heard men and women breaking up from the fact “Oh, he/she wasn’t good looking enough, so I had to end it”
