<<< A dating tale - Joe meets Karen on the first date Part 29
“Actually, when you think about it”, said Joe, “matching and making the room look good, is about matching colors, using texture and playing with space and lightening”.
“Yes, yes…”, Karen said, bursting to say something as her eyes widened with excitement.
By now, Joe was very pleased with how the night was going and he felt a rare warmness in his heart as they continuously discussed on many subjects into the evening.
He had finally met someone that he was feeling very much at ease and they had so much to talk despite their differences in personalities.
Joe wandered when they should see each other again…

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010
We often use the term flirting to describe a playful act between opposite sexes. In actual fact, flirting can be used in other areas of human interaction. The definition of flirting as described in the Merriam-Webster dictionary has several meanings.. (1) To behave erratically, (2) to behave amorously without serious intent, (3) to come close to reaching something etc. As you can see it is a general meaning not specifically associated with an outcome between opposite sexes. It makes complete sense to be knowledgeable in these areas because by understanding more of these overlooked and missed signals from these techniques help us to communicate more effectively and do not leave ambiguity to chance.

human interaction helps us to be better in our lives
This can also have an increased beneficial effect on our lives, as it creates more positive energy and we are able to connect more deeply with other people.
As a result our mood, attitude and frame of mind we have toward life can change for the better.
Like all skills, it can be learnt but again the person needs to be open-minded and aware that such concepts are not within their vocabulary now but they will soon be if given time and patience.

Most of all they have to be prepared to accepting these ‘new’ thought patterns.
It’s the basic premise that if you go toward learning something new with a certain kind of attitude, you are likely to deliver on that promise.

a positive atitude is almost always followed by a positive outcome
To give you an example, if a student’s attitude from a class is just to learn the bare minimum, he/she is likely to fulfill that promise.
However, if a student is anxious to learn as much as they can, he/she is likely to achieve that by going that extra mile.
However, the actual meaning of the open-minded approach is not fully understood or appreciated by many students and I too have often missed the true meaning and sense of this.

For example, I enjoy salsa dancing and as I improved over time my interests in other forms of dancing came alive.

keeping an open mind requires having no previous bias or opinions
At that time, I was also dabbling with Tango and I thought surely some of my accomplished skill sets in Salsa dancing would get me up to speed in Tango in no time.
I tried for a year to learn Tango and got increasingly frustrated, as I was not able to execute the beauty and elegance of the moves like the other dancers who seem to have a deep connection with this dance with their partner.
I stumbled and tried to correct my mistakes and almost gave up trying.
