You should project yourself outside of your own self and observe everything around you. Look at all the people in the group and find out what they are saying and try to understand how they are contributing to the group.

Try to reenergize yourself with interesting topics and subjects that you are passionate about and seek out groups or people that have similar interests. You may also consider bringing about a new topic of discussion for a group conversation.

A shy person should join groups where there are more sympathetic adults and one can feel accommodated and accepted and it will improve your confidence to speak more freely.
