Longevity
The site does not have any success stories featured on its pages, so I think I need to spend more time to decide on the longevity value of this site.
Ranking Statistics
May be due to little traffic on the website there is no analytical data available for this site. The site does not yet enjoy any Google ranking.
Scores
| Ease of registration process | 2.5 |
| Look and feel of website | 2 |
| Available features | 2 |
| Profile creation & completeness | 2.5 |
| Matching System | 2 |
| Overall Rating | 2.2 |
Conclusion
This is again an Australian dating site but there are not many features on this site that makes it enjoyable to use.
The look and feel of the site is nice but there should be more use of other colors than the pink and white.
Registration and profile completion steps are similar to other dating sites and require the same information.
For login you have to give your email and password and here also you can edit or manage your profile and account settings.

Review of Paid Dating Sites – MrRight.com.au - Part 9
Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011
Photos can be uploaded from your computer and free users can post only 3 photos including their profile picture.
If you are gold member then you can post 5 pictures and for platinum members they can post 10 pictures on this site.
Browsing and searching can be done but you may feel its odd that you cannot search for your match according to your criteria.
The site only has designed some criteria from which they will display the matches for you, rather than you choosing.
The messaging feature is good and you can send messages to the members after adding them to your cart.
There are limitations for messaging also and if you are a free user then you can send only 10 messages per day.
For gold and platinum members they can send 20 and 30 messages respectively and the cost seems reasonable and you may want to take the plunge.
Member base is good but still needed to improve for gaining ranking and there are no other features that will make the site somewhat compelling or interesting.
Overall, I can say that you can try this website a one time for finding your Mr. Right on MrRight.com.au.

Free dating sites - what does it mean to the average user? - Online Dating Briefs by Dr. Dato
Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011
Article Subject: Free dating sites - what does it mean to the average user?
Dr. Dato’s Brief:
Most people when they sign up to Jumpdates usually type in ‘free dating sites’ in the search box of Google, Yahoo and Bing. The users will rely on the accuracy of the search engine to return relevant results related to free dating sites and is often a measure of the search engines ‘quality’.
I started thinking what represents ‘free dating sites’ to people, in other words what is the purpose or aim of the user when they type in ‘free dating sites’. My thinking is that they are obviously looking for dating sites that are free and most likely totally free with the intention of signing up to the dating service offered by the results from the search engines.
If you type the words ‘free dating sites’ into the Google search engine, you mainly get all the free dating sites on the top 10 results or so, however, I did notice that eharmony showed up in the results. We all know that eharmony is not a free dating site, so why did Google list this dating site near the top?
Upon further investigation, I discovered that Google did not in fact take the entire words in its literal sense but actually picked out snippets of the words from sections on the site. One could argue if that results in a good selection of results, but the fact that Google did pick out a dating site is credit to them.

What happened to all those yesteryear online dating sites? - Online Dating Briefs by Dr. Dato
Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011
Article Subject: What happened to all those yesteryear online dating sites?
Dr. Dato’s Brief:
As I was going through some more research on dating review website, I realized that some of these sites still had information on websites that were no longer available, either they had wound down due to lack of business or gobbled up by the bigger players.
Some notable names that sprung to my mind were the following:
Dreammates.com
Yahoo Personals
Kiss.com
Udate.com
Dreammates.com was a free dating site but they closed their doors back in July 2009. If you have been in the dating scene for a while (it can be tough finding the right partner :-)) you will also know about Yahoo Personals. Match.com purchased Yahoo Personals or did some business trade with them back in 2010 but for a while Yahoo Personals appeared to be doing well.
Match.com seems to be gobbling everything it can find in its path like the recent acquisition of OkCupid.
The other two dating sites Kiss.com and Udate.com were sold to Match.com back around early 2000 for a tidy sum of over $100 million to who nonetheless, Match.com.
Match has become so big (maybe arrogant) that they wont even allow you to venture on their site without signing up or filling up some form as can be seen from the picture below.

match become too big for its own comfort?

Why dating reviews don’t show their date of posting? - Online Dating Briefs by Dr. Dato - Part 10
Monday, March 21st, 2011
Article Subject: Why dating reviews don’t show their date of posting? - Part 10
Dr. Dato’s Brief: Conclusion
You may think that you can benefit by not adding ‘dates’ to your post but these actions in my opinion are based on myths which I have tried to explain.
By adding dates to your active dating blog helps the user appreciate the dates when the article was posted so they can make an assessment of when and why they should read it, it is not for you to dictate what they should do. If you do have another motive for doing this, it is very likely that the end user will come to know about it and you will lose credibility with your readers even if you are pushing out constant streams of posts.
On the other hand, by withholding date information, you may find yourself in a sticky position as many websites have come to learn from Googles most recent algorithm changes in the way it deals with original content.
If you are true to your content then everything else follows including whatever information that would be useful to your reader and should be made available.
