Browse & Search Feature

Browsing through the site is relatively easy and has been designed well. Even if you are a free member you can browse any section of the site.

The geek group displays the list of existing groups and you can join these existing groups and also create your own group.

One can also see SweetOnGeeks coming up in the press.

Searching for members is easy and for better and selective search you have one of three several ways to do this. The first one is the user search in which you can search by giving your location and age group of your seeking partner. Second one is the name search in which you need to give only the name of the person you are looking for. Finally the third one is the content search which needs only the keywords for your search.

I liked the user search because the search results are displayed very tidily. You will see the photograph, name, state/city, country, gender, seeking gender, distance from your location and their last access date.

The other searches are good but you should be a regular user to make use of those searches.

Messaging

Messaging is not a great feature of this website and free members can only view their inbox and sent messages. In order to send message or to make any contact with other members you need to be a subscribed member of this site. You cannot send a wink and other messaging features such as gifts, IM, chat, hugs etc are missing.

Other Features

There are no special features on this website other than the ones described.

One thing I liked about this site is that, you can view full profiles of the member and see their friends list, gallery, and blogs. Being a paid site you can use the messaging feature with a premium account that costs you $5.00 every month which I find to be expensive in comparison to other dating sites.

Member Base

The site has good number of members which I found through searches I made on the site and it has all age groups ranging from 20’s to 60’s. Almost all of the members belong to U.S.

Longevity

I will give the site more time to decide on the effectiveness of this website. All you who are interested in knowing more will have to come back and watch this space.

Ranking Statistics

The site shows a good number of total visits i.e. 6,785 with a total of 11 referring sites out of which 9 sites are sending more traffic to this website. The site does not yet enjoy any web ranking.

Conclusion

The look and feel of the website is not that attractive and some of you may find it dull in appearance. One thing about this site, is that it does not host any advertisements which some of you may like.

The registration is very simple and straightforward and there is no email verification mail required to use this site once registered. Also there are not that many steps in the registration and its simply a one step process asking only the basic information about you.

Login and customizing can be done very easily. Though you are free member you can browse any section in the site.

Photo uploading section is good as you can share and add many photos to your gallery without any  guideline or rules. Although, I need to warn the reader that it is at the discretion of the webmaster to remove your profile, so I would still watch out for what you upload.

Messaging is the only part that the free user can use to connect with other members of the site. It would have been nice if the site at least offered some limited message to send.

The member base is reasonably good and you could very well find your geek match here and there are all age groups on this site.

If you are really serious about finding your match but want some more features like social networking, then this site may not be your best choice.
