<<< A dating tale - Joe meets Karen on the first date Part 11

As Joe and Karen sat down, Joe could not help seeing Karen in a more subdued light other than the harsh street lights and for a moment could not take his eyes off her.

“Seems like a very lovely place” Karen said looking at Joe and smiling at the same time.

Joe quickly came to his senses and replied “Yes, isn’t it” and thought about for a second what he should say next.

“I am glad you chose this place, I would never have thought of coming here”, Karen replied.

Hmm Joe thought to himself, the conversation is going to be easier than I thought, not like the other woman he met a few weeks back where he was struggling to make any kind of conversation, it was like trying to draw blood out of a stone.

Karen seemed totally self-reassured, completely at ease and from where he was sitting, this made him feel a lot better.
