Datingfriend.net gives you a chance to browse any section in the entire site. You can search friends by their ID, nickname or a normal search by providing the age group, country, city and zip code of the friend you are searching for.

The quick search menu is not helpful as you can only searche for the gender and not by any specific age group. You will get results from people in the age group 18 to 70’s!

Therefore, quick search is of no use for finding a perfect match of our choice. Website lacks the advanced search option which is very necessary to hone in the types of members you are looking for.

Messaging

Being the core feature of any dating site, we will examine how this section fares with the competition. On this site, you can send messages, kisses and private photos.

Sending a message is a lengthy process as you have to go to the profile of that person to whom you want to send a message.

At the top left corner of the page in the user menu section you can find the inbox and outbox so that you can check your messages fairly quickly.

There is a menu option to the left side of the site ‘communicator’ which show all your conversations with other members.

Chat is placed in a different section of the site where you are able to chat with the searched profile. However, you need to upload you photo before doing this and your profile needs to be active and with an approval status.

Other Features

Website has additional features such as blogs, articles, and videos. The video section seems to be under construction as it only has few videos in there. It appears more work will need to be done in this section to bring it on par with other dating sites.

Member Base

I have gone through searching many profiles and found profiles from different parts of the world like Russia, Brazil etc. but most of them are from US and Canada.

Members are in the age group from 18 to 80’s but majority of them are grouped into the age group between 20’s to 40’s.

Most of the profile I visited does not show much details of the profile giving the impression that the site is lacking in credibility for serious daters.

Longetivity

As a first time user we cannot decide the effectiveness of this website in terms of gaining success in hooking up with other members, unless we give it more time to try it out on a regular basis.
Although I tried contacting a number of profiles suited to me but I have not received any replies. It maybe too early to tell, but on other dating sites, I did get good responses with the same amount of effort.

Member base of the site appears to be very small and I do not have any hard figures at this stage. However, the website appears to be gaining in popularity and there seems to be many new users coming to this site.
