As a continuation of the free dating site reviews, I found another site through Google worth reviewing here called freedating247.com.

Look and Feel

On the first look freedating247 looks to be a basic site with not much on features and a very simple home page.

Pastel colors were used in the home page, giving that simple and clear look.
The wooden background board was a nice touch which shows the actual message of the site.

After having reviewed a few free dating sites, I was ready to do another one. The 100% free dating site that is under the hammer today is okcupid.com.
This is also a 100% free dating site.

Look and Feel

The first look and feel of this site is what grabs your attention. At first it looks very simple with a nice blue and off-white color combination. The home page features some reputable quotes and testimonials by various newspapers and other free dating review sites.

For example the news article, “Google of online dating” by the Boston Globe. This newspaper is one that I happen to enjoy reading. This gives the site exceptional credibility in this competitive market.

Registration Process

Registering to this site is fairly quick and easy. You enter choices like what kind of relationship you are looking and what kind of relationship you are in? You provide your location, email address and you are now registered to the site.
Once you are a registered user to the site you receive a confirmation email also.

Logging & Customizing Profiles

After you login to this site for the first time, you need to answer some of the basic questions (similar to other free dating sites).  The questions were very interesting and were unique and not common to previously reviewed sites.
Unlike a few other dating sites I have reviewed before, you are not able to customize your profile page with a different color combination and theme.

Photo Profile Section

Uploading your photo on the site comes with a neat option - you can upload from any site just by giving the address of that photo. I did this for one photo from Facebook.com but you have the option of uploading from your computer too.

Photo is easy uploaded and viewed right away with no need for approval from the webmaster or administrator of the website. However, the rule for uploading nudity still applies like all the other free dating sites. You are likely to be disbarred for uploading nudity.

Browse & Search Feature

Browsing through diffident menus and searching for profiles is intuitive and easy. I like the peppy and aero look of the search buttons and it is very easy use.

This site has the most impressive profile search result I have seen to date. It actually shows you how much you’re matched with the searched person. The results also show you how much they are replying to messages which is often or rarely. This can be a very useful feature for members who don’t want to waste time in messaging people who are inactive, which can be a problem in some dating sites.

You can read about the person’s trait, see photos, and see the personality test.
Well the feature compares the your matched persons personality based on the question that you answered while creating profile like- social, political and life style Other features like rating profile and picture are looks in tact.

Messaging

Messaging is again a feature of this site and all features like IM, email, quick message, saving notes, adding to favorite lost, sending winks need no improvement.

I loved the feature that I can award that person if I like that profile/match

Other Features

This is the section I like the most because it shows how the site is different from the other sites and where they are being innovative in providing the best service to their members.

With OkCupid.com you have the feature of creating your own personal quizzes. It reminds me of one of the first reviews I did of BookOfMatches.com.

Another feature that I liked on this site is once I click on a searched profile you are presented with “The Two of Us”. This is the series of questions which will help to find how much you are compatible with the other person. However, you need to be brutally honest with your answers. OkCupid offers iPhone and Android mobile apps. so that you can access your account information right from your mobile phone.

What’s Missing

Like most of the dating sites lack video upload, privacy options and customizing profile. Well for me privacy mean is who can contact me and who can see me. As user I do not have right to block users/mail from others or age more than I am looking for.
