There are many easy and fast dating sites available in this world of dating so the issue of Flipmedating with its unique content is a a difficult one to measure and primarily dependent on the offline activities of its users, ie. able to issue as many cards to their admirers.

The registration is free and quick but one cannot find their match unless they have their card id. Profile pictures can be added from your computer but sharing and adding more pictures are not available.

The site on the other hand is easy to use and attractive

It is targeted at a very niche audience and only time will tell if it has any redeeming qualities.

According to a research done by a Dutch dating site, some interesting facts came about.

On the first date, Dutch men prefer to have the women dressed more casually rather than wearing a revealing outfit. This is no surprise to me since the first date should be based on real values and what each has to offer but this does not mean you dress up shoddily though.

Other findings include major turn-offs on a first date and they are lack of conversation, bad table manners and one who pays more attention to others than the date. In terms of the bill 84% of the women would go ‘Dutch’ whereas a 78% of men would prefer to pay the whole bill.

On a first date more men then women would pick a romantic comedy as a movie.

This is a PR of a new site called Earthrumble.com, what will they think of next?

Usually press releases of dating sites are laced with so much positivity that one has to be careful as to what to believe. This site hasn’t been reviewed by us yet, but you can guess we will be doing so very soon.

To summarize, this site looks to be UK based since subscriptions are given in pound sterlings and costs about 7 pounds per month (sorry couldn’t locate the pound key on my US keyboard) which is relatively cheaper than other dating websites. The site promises to be free from advertising and is geared towards people with different lifestyles and caters to singles with interest in music according to Wayne Peevor who is the CEO of Earthrumble.com

Ignighter.com has had some of a checkered history here in USA since its birth in 2008 by the three Jewish founders Daniel Osit, Adam Sachs and Kevin Owocki. All three wanted to create a ‘group’ type dating site and worked hard at acquiring members but they didn’t see the traction they wanted in the USA but overseas the website particularly in India is doing very well.

The site in India is now ranked 2,779 according Alex traffic report but has a dismally low traffic level in the USA. However, according to the NY times reporting on this article, the co-founders have now shifted their marketing focus to India and have already acquired additional angel funding to the tune of $3 million. They will be setting up offices in India and try to get a footing in the dating culture of India which is very different to that of the West. See our additional review of the dating scene in India.

This is an interesting idea for a dating site that has been started by would-be MIT student entrepreneurs Jason Gao and Tim Hsieh.

The site called nChooseTwo was developed to invite mutual friends to match others romantically and works by going to their website and entering potential matches into the system. The recipient will receive a message saying “A friend just suggested a new match for you! To view this match, visit https://www.nchoosetwo.com.” Once on the site, the potential match can see who his/her match is and have the option to accept or decline the match. There are other features to the site such as ‘crushes’.

The concept is somewhat similar to some of the dating sites that we have reviewed ie. GreenLightCard.com where the person who has the crush hands the recipient a card containing information on how to contact the admirer.

I am not sure how this will pan out, but I think the idea is novel but it will require an inkling of effort from a mutual friend which can be hard especially in the area of love which is fairly personal to most people.
