The look of the Dating-Senior.net website is very simple like other paid and 100 freedating sites.
The site has black background which is not generally used by many modern websites of today, although game websites do make good use of them.
You can see a senior couple at the top while the site gives some tips on dating for seniors.
The registration box is provided to the right side of the page and the fonts are colored in red which gives a bold and attractive look to the site.
Some featured new members can be seen at the bottom with their photos and the site does not contain any Google or banner advertisements.

The sign-up box needs details like your username, password, email, gender, and country and zipcode (post code).
The site will immediately send you the activation mail and this is all that is required with the registration but you need to complete your profile to the full, which will help you to find a good member matched to your profile. In this step you have to say something about yourself, your desired match, mobile number and upload your photo. You need to be 40+ to register to this site.

Login & Customizing Profiles
Once you have completed your registration and updated your profile information, you are logged in automatically to the site.

You can upload photos and videos directly from your computer and if you wish to take a picture or record a video from your webcam then this is also possible on this site.
The site does not specify how many pictures or videos can be uploaded but I tried to upload 10 pictures and it I didn’t face any issues.
There are no hard and fast rules rules for photo upload and you can upload photos up to 5 Mb size and videos with up to 20 Mb in size.
The photos should be JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIF, TIFF AND TGA formatted and videos should be in FLV.

Advanced search: similar features to most of the other dating sites and on many more search criteria. In this you have to give the education, ethnicity, beliefs, height, weight, age, smoking, drinking preferences etc.

Live chat is also possible and provided by the site and you can send, read and reply to unlimited mails and even do a live chat- voice and video chat after becoming a premium member of the site.
Users maybe disappointed to learn that there are no options to send virtual kisses, gifts, hugs, etc to other members.
Other Features
Mail: In this section you can see the sent, received and deleted mails by you.
Buddies: This section allows you to view your friends, latest matches, visitors and blocked list.
Chat: I particularly liked this section because even if you are not a paid member of the site it does offer you a chance to view a demo chat.
Here you can also view your pending chat, chat history, online members and the featured members. Besides this, the site does not have many features that need to be discussed here.

You need to pay $14.99 for 1 month, $5.99/m for a 3 month period (when billed in one payment of $19.99), $4.99/m for 6 months period (when billed in one payment of $35.99) and $3.99/m for 1 year (when billed in one payment of $49.99).
Member Base
The site does not have a great member base, but still I found people of likeable quality from all over the world including Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, US, and UK.
As this site is for senior people only, you will find most of the members are above 40 years of age.
Longevity
The site has a reasonable member base and nice features but it will take some time for me to decide the effectiveness of this site.
