We all understand that sense of humor can be an admirable quality that both men and women find appealing and especially women when they are dating men. Many of these women will put ’sense of humor’ as a foremost quality they are looking for in their ideal partner.

So, what is sense of humor and can the skill be acquired?

I believe this quality comes from without want of trying ie. you either have it or you don’t have it. However, it is a personal trait that can be developed by observing odd situations in a comical way and how we see the world and events happening around us. You don’t have to be very witty and alert to have this quality, in fact, if you over do it, it can work against you and you may ignore the actual people in the conversation making you appear a bit selfish and attention seeking.

When it comes to dating, the quality is much better embraced because the attention is directed to one person only. For women who seeks this quality in their dating partner, make sure that it is taken along with all the other qualities that makes up the entire person.

To have a good sense of humor, one must perceive some but not all events in some comical fashion ie. turn the situation into an amusing story. For example, the other day, I was with a group of friends at a house party and a couple had a very cute baby that was crawling on the floor and came to a group of people that was sitting. I had my camera and the baby gave me a good look at me and almost froze, and as I had my camera, I started taking snaps of him. We all noticed how he was almost ‘posing’ for the shots and I immediately said ‘ok, I have taken enough pictures of you’ and everyone burst out laughing.
