5 ways how a waiter can spoil your date
Saturday, January 26th, 2013
The over enthusiastic waiter at the restaurant can spoil your date if you are not too careful. He/she maybe trying to extend the best service and anticipating your needs as a thorough professional or just to get an extra tip but this may end up spoiling your evening and you are forced to leave with an irritated mind frame.
Here the most common five ways how a waiter can spoil your date:
1. Making you laugh on arrival builds a rapport but constantly intruding into the privacy and trying to make you laugh or to see how everything is going with an eye only on the big tip
2. Insisting on a popular preparation that should be ordered in spite of the guest not showing any interest in the same
3. Fails to replenish the beverages or take order for the next drink before the glass is empty as there is nothing to wash down the food with or not clearing the plates quickly enough
4. Not making proper eye contact which forces the guest to keep making gestures to get the waiters attention thereby paying almost no attention to the date
5. A waiter who makes mistakes and covers up with excuses is the biggest turn off on a date, so be prepared.

Understand Yourself and Change a Little
Saturday, January 26th, 2013
A famous Chinese proverb went like this ‘a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step’. So it is in whatever endeavors. The real task we all have in our hands is to unravel the complexity and hence the big baggage that we ultimately end up with as we steer through life. Nature has taught us to enjoy the minutest pleasures such as a daffodil that sways to the gentle breeze. The steadfast mountains that fill the horizon with a picturesque blockade of blue. The sweet scent of jasmine tea as you hold it close to your mouth.
We need to unwind and unravel the pylons of ropes that reign upon us. These come in the guise of fear, lack of confidence, not trusting, laziness, boredom, lack of empathy and many others. Our first aim is to grapple with our own selves and understand our own strengths and shortcomings before we embark on the journey of life of our own making. The journey of life is how we see it, how we face it, how we make of it and always starts from the one single seed ‘me’.
Be honest with yourself and face squarely the biggest obstacle to your own success which is you. Slowly but surely remove the facade (the ego) that has held you back. Bit by bit. Make small but not big changes as each day unfolds and closes and know that you alone hold the key to a successful life.

Flip Dating the new sensation in YouTube
Saturday, January 26th, 2013
ABC aired an interesting twist to dating in their morning show and showed some clips on flip dating called The Flip Side of dating. This is where a woman becomes the man and man becomes the woman with interesting and funny sketches in their YouTube video.
The producers wanted to show the ‘other side’ of the gender gap by making this short movie and pointing out mainly the women’s point of view when it comes to dating. Although some of the sketches are funny, it does highlight the stark differences in the personalities of both men and women in dating. The ABC morning show brought in Chris Harrison the host of the popular Bachelor and Bachelorette shows to air his views on this subject. His opinion was that there are clearly differences in the way men and women date but at the end of the day its about individual preferences.
One couldn’t help noticing when Lara Spencer started fidgeting with her hair when Chris Harrison burst out offering his hand of true love for ever which she agreed only if she wasn’t married. Of course this was just a comical sketch but sometimes the tell tale signs such as the body language can have other meanings. For more information on body language, please search our blog posts for that subject.
I reviewed the youtube video on The Flip Side (Dating) and found only 217k views and not the millions as claimed by ABC. I am guessing that the subject of flip dating made an interesting avenue to plug in their own ABC show The Bachelor of which they continuously flashed the mild-mannered star of the show.

Getting the Dates You Want - part 2
Friday, January 25th, 2013
Although God has given us the capacity to dream, he has also provided us with able bodies and mind to take action. You will need to separate fact from fiction, in other words you can dream as long as you want of the ‘night in shining armour’, or that beautiful girl walking up to you and seducing way. You can’t dismiss the possibility that this could happen but don’t depend on it too much and for too long.
Take a good look at yourself and ask yourself if other people apart from your close friends and families will have any idea what you are like under that facade of yours. Don’t expect others to adore you or expect you to be so and so just because you feel they must. You need to demonstrate your worthiness to other people, in the same way that you need to prove your worth to your boss at work. We have discussed many topics on the subject of breaking the ice and when you do break the ice, you need to swiftly prove that you are a decent person that anyone can date and feel comfortable. This immediately implies that you need to be considerate and accepting of the other person you are talking to.
There are many books that talk about how to break the ice and what follows, but the best advice is just be yourself and let the conversation take its natural path. We will be introducing more articles on these subjects to arm all those singles out there and make sure they build enough confidence and courage to get the dates they want and the lives they want. In the meantime, please go ahead and do some searches in our search box on the right and look up hundreds of articles already posted here on these topics.
