Because Fords first acknowledged and accepted its weaknesses, it was in a position to move towards self-improvement which it did. History is replete of such stories.

It is for this reason alone where many couples will continue to struggle, have endless fights and never reach a compromise for a longer term solution.

Typically in situations like this, the relationship will suffer and ultimately deteriorate to the point of no return.

Most people are afraid to admit their own faults and on top of this feel compelled and comfortable in giving criticism to others.

One of the reasons for this stems from our own fears of showing weaknesses and this could imply a lack of self-confidence and the fear of being ridiculed.

If you notice and observe people, you may have come across people who are overly aggressive and are almost like ‘bullies’.

One can easily develop resentment towards those groups of people but however, if you were to dig further, you will see that these individuals have deep seated problems of their own.

They fear being criticized themselves and instead choose to show a brash and bullish personality trait, that hide their true feelings.

Here is our first ‘clue’ on how resentment can come about in individuals.

A healthy and balanced life with the individual mentioned above will be an uphill battle because the person has not internalized the problem to the point where he/she can address it.

Often the arguments that start with this individual and loved one will end up with the other individual giving in to the arguments.

No real resolution will occur until this particular individual is able to cross the first hurdle of accepting the problem as it really is.
