Strong Silent Type

I moved to Denver from Michigan at the beginning of December for my job. I am originally from Texas, but oddly have very little accent. I'm not from the country and am not a cowboy. :) I'm a pretty easy going person and easy to get along with. I am very straightforward and tend to speak my mind. I have a fantastic sense of humor. My sense of humor is a little dry and sarcastic, but most people dig it once they get to know me. The arts and music are pretty important to me...I studied music in school (BM and MM). I am very empathetic towards the needs and feelings of others. If there is something I can do to help someone I try to do it. I think this is what brought me to work for a nonprofit organization. There are so many opportunities to help others. I haven't started yet, but once I get settled into Denver I plan to do a lot of volunteer work for local humanitarian organizations. I have high expectations /aspirations for myself as a person and in my profession. I strive to be an extremely considerate person and I hope for others to act in the same way. I like to stay active and am currently getting back into shape. I workout after work M-F and run on the weekends. You can find me exploring a new hiking trail most weekends. I'd like to find someone that will be active with me. I am a chivalrous guy in a relationship. I always open the door and do random things to show you I care. I am not interested in one-nighters or short-term excursions. I want to find someone I can be with for the long haul. I like it if someone is a bit quirky, random, and finds humor in places/things that others probably don't. I like someone that isn't afraid to be herself and stand up for what she believes. I like discussing differences in opinion without the chance of it becoming a fight. She should like the evening/weekend active with outdoor activities or at home on the couch. I like someone that keeps me guessing and likes to change things up every once in a while.
