I am funny, adventurous, and finally single again

I'm shy and pensive, yet outgoing and talkative. I'm happy, but could be happier still with a partner in crime, someone who likes go out and have a little fun! I enjoy reading, cooking, working on computers, travel, and curling up to watch a movie. I like going out for an evening of dancing, a little drinking, and meeting new people. Life has been an enjoyable adventure. I'm a small-town guy who grew up in rural Ohio but left to see the world. I've lived in California, Texas, Nebraska, Germany, and now South Carolina. I speak German and Russian fluently and French poorly (although a little red wine from Bordeaux seems to help). I've been to 27 countries but nowhere new lately, something I'd like to change. I don't like the tourist routine. I prefer to find a place to stay where I can get to know the locals. I am the proud father of three wonderful children. I love kids and won't be scared away by yours unless they are really, really scary! I share custody of mine and like doing things with them, but there also has to be some adult time! I am looking for a confident, intelligent woman who is comfortable in her own skin. She should have a good sense of humor and not be afraid to laugh at herself or me! Physically, I am attracted to more petite women, but I have found more curvaceous women extremely attractive, too. I am not attracted to big, beautiful women. She should enjoy trying new things! I certainly do. She should value family and friends but balance it with time for herself and me, of course :-) I would prefer to meet a woman who already has children or who does not wish to have any. It is not that I wouldn't absolutely love to have more but that I would prefer to have them through college before I retire! So if having children is one of your litmus tests for a potential relationship, I am probably the wrong guy. I do not smoke cigarettes but I do enjoy cigars. I am a teacher - the career I picked for myself way back in first grade! Currently that means striving to instill in 8th-graders a love of math and high-school Algebra. I have also taught German, Russian, and English. I fix computers in my free time for fun and beer money.
