I run the Gastonia NC Amtrak depot. I check tickets tho make sure people are there on the right day. I talk to the engineer on the radio and tell him how many we have or if we have any at all. And I also check to make sure the train is in order. ( Check to make sure all doors on the car are closed and maker sure the red marker light are working.
