I would describe myself as :
Fun loving, happy, easy to be around, a man with a fresh, positive outlook on life!
About me and who I am looking for :
I'm a retired widower these past 7 plus years. Grew up an Arizona farm and ranch kid, active and involved at many levels, and haven't yet slowed down! I don't drink or smoke. Raised Mormon but together with my wife and children we left that church 35 years ago and didn't looked back. I'm loving retired life here in Rim Country, enjoying family and friends, exercising with a fun group 3 days a week and working on projects of interest! Looking for a lady friend who enjoys my quiet, thoughtful, caring ways, loves spending time together and lets me treat her like the special woman she'll be in my life.. For the sake of full disclosure: I married a local lady 21 months ago. Thought we'd make it. Worked at it, gave it our all. But for various reasons it didn't pan out for us. Now we're separated and in the process of divorcing -- a no-fault, no-harm, no-foul proceeding. That said, I'm not looking for another marriage, nor do I expect the woman I'm with to be either. My first wife of 48 years succumbed to cancer. Should never have remarried. I know that now. I guess we should never say never, but that's how I feel right now. Let's simply enjoy life and learn all about each other -- our likes and dislikes, have fun together, share our days, pleasant evenings, warm nights. The people and things we value and believe in, what interests us as life goes on and the closeness we feel when together will create a bond we can nurture, share and enjoy with one another for years to come if we do it right.. You'll find there's more here than you ever might have imagined if you'll simply reach out, say "Hi!", and introduce yourself! Don't hesitate, time is too precious to waste!..

About life style :
I'm pretty laid back socially. I like being with the lady in my life, going places and doing things with her. I enjoy quiet conversation, good movies, stimulating talk. Two of my boys and their families live here on the mountain near me. My other boy and my daughter have their families in the Valley. We're tight knit as a group, and I'd like the lady in my life to feel comfortable with and close to those I love. My boys here in Heber/Overgaard work online during the day and are long time singers and musicians in their off time. Their entertain, together with my oldest son's wife, all across this high country area as the "Heber Ridge Band" and as the "Brother Mine" duo. My third son, living in the Valley, is a singer and musician as well. His band is "Young Country," and he's been entertaining full time these past 25 years. I enjoy my kids, and trust that whoever comes into my life will genuinely enjoy being part of who we are as a family!..

Background Values :
Ranch kid, raised Mormon, mission to Brazil, married my sweetheart, raised four kids. She was a full time RN. I was a police officer. We left Mormonism as a family 35 years ago and didn't look back. She died of cancer 7 plus years ago, two days after our 48th wedding anniversary. Before she died she told me not to mourn her, but to "find a new love and move on with life," which I've tried to do -- going so far as to marry a lady I met here in town a couple of years ago, thinking that's what I was "supposed to do." ..Stupid, or what?! That didn't work out, so we're separated and getting a no-fault, no-harm, no-foul divorce -- making it as though we'd never been married in the first place. Normally I don't make mistakes like that. But being stupid (can't say, 'young and dumb' anymore!) that's a mistake I'll own up to.. Anyway, that brief chapter in my life is closing, and it's time to move on -- to which I say a heartfelt "Thank God!".. RCR..
