So a few years back my life consisted of working too-long hours, watching some TV, going to bed, then repeating it all the next day. After my 3rd board meeting as VP of IT, I went to the closest Barnes & Noble I could find, picked Ecuador out of a map book, and got on the first flight out of Springfield, Missouri. Half-measures? Not my thing%u2026
That%u2019s how life%u2019s been ever since for me. I no longer own a TV since I just don%u2019t have room in my life for time sinks. Instead, I%u2019ll pick a city off a list, grab some friends, and check it out for the weekend. I%u2019m the guy who takes the rickety bus from one city to another in Brazil just to meet more locals and have a more authentic experience.
I grew up on the East coast, so it%u2019s good to be back, if nothing else %u2013 for the fresh seafood (missed that in the Midwest, and in South America) and the skiing in Vermont. Plus, I%u2019m from a very close-knit Italian family; they like having me back too%u2026
