From the edit profile section you can edit your name (or alias), age, gender, gender preference, marriage status, your goals and other information such as friends, job, dating and community service etc., ethnicity, location like-zip, country, state and city., languages you know and can speak (you can add up to a maximum of 5 languages).

Due to the privacy of this website it does not reveal your zip code with your profile but other information such as city, country and state will show on your profile.

After the basic details, it will ask some personality details such as height, body type, hairs, eyes, your interest and hobbies including TV shows, movies book and author etc., communities, educations, careers, job, incomes, lifestyle, relationships, regions/politics, you can also add you website and blog if you have any.

You can also test your account’s email address using their test email alert service, set your profile status to show all members, hide from all members and also delete your own profile if you want to stop using the service.

You can change your account information like first name, last name, primary email address and password for additional security measures.

Like some other dating sites this site also contains members blocking feature for blocking unwanted emails and messages simply by entering the members id you wish to block.

Photo Profile Section
You can upload your profile photo from your computer up to a maximum of 4 photos and it must be in jpg format (maximum size per photo is 2 mb).

Browse & Search Feature
Search feature of the site was quick and easy and I gave it a thumbs up. Searching for your date is conducted by filtering some details such as age criteria, gender, location, ethnicity, marriage, goals, height, body, hairs, looking, interest, hobbies, educations, career, lifestyle, relationships, characteristics etc.

You can also save your search for future use.

However, you will be disappointed with the advanced search because it is very difficult to find good matches with so many filtering options, because this type of activities and characteristics are far inbetween for most members. Most of the time, I got a message saying ‘match not found’.

This site also has a Google search date to find additional members and you can also search members or date by entering exact userid if you have this already.
However, upon using the service, I did not find it useful at all since it did not return any matches.

Messaging

You can send messages to any member but each time you need to enter your login email and password with a website generated verification code. This verification code is 30 digits long  and to send email to someone takes too much time.

You can see messages in your inbox sent by other members and the sent mail in to sent mail box section.
Features like IM, winks are not available on this website.

You can also invite any number of friends by entering their emails separated by commas. You can also report any bugs and issues to the socialgrid.com website.

What’s Missing
Like most of the other dating sites this website also lack audio and videos uploading and chatting features so some users maybe dissuaded from joining this site.

Unlike some websites this site does not features community sections such as dating tips, forum, blogs etc.

Member Base
Socialgrid.com has a good member and most of them from US, UK, Canada with age group between 20’s to 40’s however some of the profiles that I have gone though does not show much details about him or her. This gives the impression that people on the site may not be serious daters.
