Longevity
The test for longevity cannot be measured in a few hours or in one day; we need to spend more time on this site to find out the kind of responses one can expect from other members and hence the success rate.
This time I spent was approximately 2 days to see what responses I get from other people on the site. Honestly, the member base of this site is so large that one can expect some kind of response from other members on the site. However, having read some feedback from other members using the plentyoffish.com website, there have been mixed feelings as to the clientele of this site. Since this site caters to an audience where free is the in-thing, it will no doubt attract a mixed bag of crowd.

Website has been ranked fairly high in the Google rankings and holds the 69th spot and beating off most of the other popular dating sites.
Conclusion
Look and feel of the site is not quite eye catching and I give a thumbs down for visual aesthetics. Registration is not at all a complex process and can be finished in under 30 seconds. Customizing a profile which is a feature offered by pof is available to those with activity points which requires an upgrade. Though it requires an upgrade for the advanced features, the site is usable to all users without payment ie. sending and receiving messages with other members of the site.
Email privacy of the site has also been taken care of fairly neatly.
Searching a date has been well thought out and is backed up by the chemistry test which tries to find you a more accurate match.
Messaging comprises of email and quick message but lack feature such as an IM. The website has a very good feature in the section of ‘chemistry’ where you can test and expresses yourself in a more complete way. A good member base with high Google ranking makes this site a worthy visit for all you simpletons out there.

Login & Customizing Profiles
Similar to other dating sites you will also need email/username and password to login to your matchmaker account. But whenever I tried to login using my email address it showed me “Invalid login”, so login with my email address is not working at all.
Once you have logged in, you can see the all the menus positioned at the top of the website. so the dater simply needs to go there to search for dates and customize his or her matchmaker account.
At the right side of the website you can view site activities such as; about new members within the last week, gift sent or received, who’s on IM (instant messenger), people who viewed you or viewed by you. This can all be found the home page after login.
In the edit profile section you can also set basic details about his or her and the partner you are looking for in terms of personality, hobbies, activities, appearance and lifestyle. You can also mention you favorite TV program and movies.

As far as customizing your own privacy is concerned, you can enable/disable all the notifications including newsletters, subscription emails and also the alerts from matchmaker.com such as the age range, distance and gender of those members whom you want to contact.
User can also set the IM status to on or off setting. User can also change password, set his or her profile as visible/hidden from the site and remove the profile permanently.
Photo Profile Section
You can upload your profile photo from your computer. You can upload up to a maximum of 10 photos initially. After uploading your photo you will need to wait for it to be approved by the website administrator for nudity or other guidelines, and this can take up to 24 hours.
