The Superbowl pulls a huge unknown crowd that we do not always appreciate and these are the people who purely watch Superbowl for the glossy and often very creative advertisements. Companies spend a fortune to appear in the few minutes break that shows off these commercials.

We at Jumpdates have found that these Superbowl commercials can complement a perfectly fitting date and appeal both to the man and woman. The ads. that appear in between breaks can be a perfect relaxation for the couples to bond and thus remove the whole notion that the game is purely for adrenaline driven men.

The first step for the man is to get their dating partner interested in the game and you have to be a tactful here and rather than show your eagerness for the game start by saying something like ‘Hey, did you know there are some interesting stuff going on in Superbowl this year’. This is followed by ‘I hear that there are some unmissable ads that have never been shown anywhere’. Followed by ‘They are so funny everyone is going to watch it”. Naturally anyone can add something that interests their partners in a particular subject and add that at the end. For example “They are showing an ad. on the ”. Since superbowl ads. are so well done, you will find this ‘white lie’will be soon forgotten when both of you sit down to watch this event.

During the event make sure to keep your partner engaged and explain to her some rules but don’t over do it, since technical matters are not always to a woman’s liking. However, talk about some of the football players and some tit-bits related to that person. For example, a scandalous event that has taken place or their relationship and how many kids they have and how footballers live. There are boundless amount of topics that you can squeeze in during injury time, stoppage times etc. Make sure that you don’t start a topic that ensues a further discussion because you may find yourself distracted from the game and your plot will be to no avail. However, being of the masculine mind one can get out of any tricky situation.

Also from the women’s point of view the game can come across as very testosterone driven and you can diffuse this with some witty comments which keeps your dating partner thinking until the commercials appear.
When the commercials come about this is when you can both watch together and share your feelings and thoughts. Superbowl does not have to be a man’s game, it can be a perfect event for a very eventful date!
