Registration Process

Registration process is interesting and first you need to give your gender, then current relationship status, your ethnicity, your religious background, country and zip code, then username, birth date, email address and password. All these options come one by one as you click on the continue button.

This is all there is to the registration process.

Next you can subscribe for the site by completing your profile or directly going to search for your matches.

Login & Customizing Profiles

For login you have to provide your email and password. First time new users are automatically logged in after registration.
Customization option is very simply designed. Just like other dating sites here also you can edit your profile, manage your photos and account details.
There is a new option of color code test.

Photo Profile Section

The site allows sharing 12 photos in your gallery and you can upload pictures from your computer only. The site can be followed on twitter but it does not allow importing pictures from this site.

You can add captions to the photos o tell other members more about you. The site also has the facility of drag and drop photos to customize where they appear on your profile.
There are some simple photo guidelines and your first photo should be clear headshot. You should be easy to identify in each photos.
The site accepts only JPG, GIF, or BMP images with a maximum file size of 5 MB.
You cannot upload any suggestive or blurry photos, collages or copyrighted materials.
And finally you should upload at least one photo in your profile in order to appear in other member’s matches or searches.

Browse & Search Feature

Browsing is very easy and free and you can browse any section on entire spark.com.
As far as searching is concerned you can perform various searches that are offered by the site.

You can make searches based on;

Quick Search: This needs your gender, seeking gender, age range and located within area. The site displays all the matches that meet under these criteria. You can sort these searches by, newest, most active, closest to you, most popular and according to color code.

Advanced Search: Apart from having all those searching options from quick search here you can search by more options like, height, ethnicity, relationship status, body type, smoking, drinking tendencies and religion.

Keyword Search: This type of search will allow you to search by keyword. You can describe your match quality for eg. Smart, funny, tall, likes dogs, the beach, enjoys dining out. The site makes this search easier for you by displaying some popular tags like, New York, cooking, Italian food, movies, travel, adventurous, sense of humor, music, camping etc.

Photo Gallery: This search has the facility of searching your partner by their photo galleries. You have to give that whose photos you want to view, posted within how many days, country and age range.

Look up Member: This is somewhat like username search. Here also you can search by the username of that particular person or you can also search them by their member number.

Messaging feature is nicely crafted on this site. You can send mails to the members. Free users can enjoy flirting with the members and there are lots of flirting options available here. You can make a sincere, romantic, humorous and casual flirt. You can also send poems, whose line is it anyway?, holiday or seasonal flirt and even songs.

You can also add the members to your hot list or favorite list. Subscribed users can avail the facility of sending e-cards to the members. You can also chat with online members.

Matches: This section displays your matches, who is searching for you?, secret admirer and you can also set preferences here.
