Your body stature is important to your well being

Why is body stature important to one’s welfare you may very well ask?
A great comedian Peter Sellers once said that the portrayal of characters in his movies would always start from the ‘walk’. This would imply that one’s stature may tell a lot about one’s personality. I have my own ideas regarding this and will explain the importance of why it’s important to have a good stature.
If you observe people carefully, their walk and the way they stand can say a lot about the type of person he/she is. It can effectively describe the persons demure and whether they are soft or aggressive in personality. We can see how Peter Sellers used the walk to define his characters that he would play. If you were sad, the walk would reflect this and you will likely take small and slower steps with a crouched stature. If you were happy, the same body would spring to life and you will likely stand strong in stature with quick, swift movements of your body.
One point to bear in mind when you read self-help books is that trying to change yourself for the better may not be all that effective. Without the genuine interest to change or the desire for the new you, then it would turn into failure. Your body will reflect this and it will be something that others will be able to detect and appear a little bit fake. Your spoken thoughts and words will be in conflict with the movements of your body. This is probably where body language have been effectively used by people to read people’s inner thoughts outside of what they say or do.
To better yourself in both mind and body, you should use your body as a barometer. If you wanted to improve a particular trait in yourself, look to your body movement, posture and stature and see if it has made any difference. You will probably need to work a bit harder or change certain aspects of your training to harmonize and bring balance to the two. Next time, you are looking to self-improve, look at your body and stature and see what this is telling you.
