Breaking the myths of female psychology - Dr Dato’s Brief
Thursday, July 7th, 2011
I have a passion for understanding human psychology and what makes us tick and behave the way we do. In my ongoing quest for answers, I recently came across this book called Practical Female Psychology for the Practical Man by Joseph W. South, David Clare and Franco.
Clearly there are untold stories of the many stumbling blocks in communication by both men and women in relationships with the unfortunate consequences of separation and divorce. The book actually attempts to answer the female psyche which many men have trouble trying to figure out.
Whereas men have rationale and logic tied to their actions the females of the species operate in a different way. Many of these women are moved by their emotions alone. For example, if you attempted to draw a set of events as follows…
V –> W –> X –> Y —> Z
For women these set of events are completely unrelated when they are emotionally driven. The trouble men have is that they attempt correlate the previous event with the next since it maybe dependent on each other which is the correct logical way of thinking. This could be one of the reasons why men struggle to understand why women sometimes do not make any sense.
