Dr. Dato’s Brief:
This is an independent post which I think will be valuable to some of the readers.
With such a proliferation of dating sites coming online, it can be daunting for users to differentiate a good viable site as opposed to one that is fake. Often some dating sites have been setup to provide glossy pages that appears quite appealing on the front but behind lurks an email capturing mechanism which you only find out after signing up. Although these kind of websites have diminished over the years and Google and other major search engines have been quick to spot these and do not come up in the searches very easily.
However, there are still potential dangers to users that comes in the form of malicious software which can be potentially downloaded when visiting a suspicious sites. In addition to checking for reviews of the site, for example when you want to be sure a site is safe, just type the sitename followed by reviews. In almost all cases, the search results should return qualified reviews from many dating review sites. For example type ‘kipici reviews’ will return sites that have conducted a review of the dating site.
Another test you can do to qualify a dating website is to use Google’s own unique link as shown below.
http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=Jumpdates.com
Here, the link will take you directly to googles page that describes the site Jumpdates.com diagnostics of the dating site. Instead of Jumpdates.com you can add other sites into the link in the format .com and copy the entire url and past into your browser address bar.
