Users can report abuse about photo, profile or chat room behaviors to metrodate. through their special links designed for this.

From the account information section, you can change your first name, last name, email, password, city, state, zip code and country. You can also enable or disable contents that are related to adult (more than 18 year).

Photo Profile Section
You can upload your profile photo directly from your computer with a maximum of 40 photos which is more than most normal sites. Users also have the option to manipulate the uploaded images such as rotating left, right or rotate vertically.

If you do not follow metrodate’s rules and regulations for photo uploading, you have the risk of being removed by the moderator without any warning.

Browse & Search Feature
Browsing through the website, you are presented with plenty of menus and selections to various parts of the site. The menus are positioned at the top of the website.

Under ‘people’ menu you can browse and search for your date or any members in various ways like quick search, advanced search, favorite list, online friends, and flirts.

The quick search feature does not look impressive as well as being effective because every time I used it, it only shows one member. Not sure if I am doing something wrong.

You can also search a member by entering a specific members’ name, if you know their username already. Advanced search feature options lets you to search by specifying personality, habits, lifestyle, location and distance.

Online search feature enables you to see who’s online. Any people you add to the favorites section will appear in your favorites list.

In the flirt section part of the menus you can see those persons whom you can flirt with and that person can flirt with you. You can also add any members which you don’t like or not interested into your ‘interested section’.

Messaging

The messaging is a critical part of any dating website because it’s the medium used to communicate with other members of the site.

Like many other 100% free dating websites you can send an email message to any member of the site.  However, a peculiar behavior of the site that I observed is after you first join metrodate you cannot send a message until about an hour.

You can send a flirt message to show your interest and using the chatting feature you can also chat similar to yahoo chat room, which some people will like. You can chat in different ways like public/main chat room, asia chat room, adult chat room. Within any public chat room, you can invite members for a private chat. Sending winks or gifts are not available on this website.

Users can create their video profile of their own and upload that to the website. You have to ensure that the size is below 25 mb and 1-5 minutes long.

You can also upload an audio file from your computer or a voice recording made on your pc or laptop. The audio file format must be a wav, mp3, mp4, wma, or midi file in order to be accepted. Mp3 files are the preferred choice. Voice messages may take 2-3 business days to be processed and approved after they have been uploaded.
