One awkward feature of the site is that any communication following a search or a profile you like needs to be put on hold for 24 hours!

After the 24 hours had elapsed I was able to see the important parts of this section and fortunately, I was not disappointed. Both the audio and video chatting feature worked as expected.

Other Features

Very few website has the videos recording feature this site has and using its own internal webcam you can record clips up to 60 second and save it your video profile.

Once you made the recording it is sent again for approval to the website administrator. Facebook integration of the like feature was an added advantage. You can also mark any profile as ‘like’ this using the facebook feature. If you like to tag any profile, you can also do this like; funny, hot, cool, kooky, interesting, nice and unusual etc.

Other features like blog, forum and groups seem to be accessible and working fine.

As mingles is a free dating site, this site appears to have a good member base but not sure about what the exact number could be Most of the members are from US, UK and Canada though the website has members from other parts of the world also. Majority of the profiles that I browsed appears to be in the age group 30’s to 40’s.

Longetivity

Like other dating websites it can be too early to talk about the long term value of this site. I spent almost 2 days on this site and found that many of the members are not for serious dating but are on the site because it’s simply free. Still, I would suggest you register to mingles.com and find how much success you can get with this dating site.

Conclusion

Looks and feel of this website is good and the registration process is hassle free.

Photo uploading is good on this website and there appears to be no major limitations. You can also use features like IM, video chat, email, winks so its makes messaging a strong feature of this site.But feature I really don’t like in this website that is for sending email, you need to wait for 24 hours as it need approval from web administrator.

The features of audio/video uploading is not available in this website though you can record your own video using the internal webcam and attach this with your profile.

Like some other dating site you can also create your own groups and also join groups that are created by other members. For new guys wanting to get into the bandwagon of dating, this site can be a good welcoming start.
