We have seen the applications and the landscape of the world-wide-web morph into what it is now and entrepreneurs saw a market niche, created their vision, moved swiftly and become dominant players in the online arena.

Yahoo missed an opportunity with Google when it first incorporated their technology and now Google is now the king dwarfing Yahoo’s feeble attempt in the search engine market.

The dominant players that we see today have emerged from an idea or application which any novice or techie guy could have produced but what made them stand out is they were quick to act and had access to deep pockets (venture money) who saw the potential.
