Excuse me I forgot my Wallet - What NOT to do on a Date
(1) Forget your Wallet
Nothing can be worse than someone declaring that they have left their wallet at home. This is really bad and applies to both men and women. If your ulterior motive is to get a free meal out of the date, then it speaks volumes about your true intentions. You could lose the trust and empathy of your dating partner and you may feel sorry especially if your date turns out to be a good catch.
(2) Talk about your past relationships
Now, why would anyone want to talk about their previous relationships when they are trying to forge a new one? The fact is that many men and women do so for one reason or another. It may be that they came out of a previous painful relationship or they have something to quip about over their previous boyfriends or girlfriends. Whatever it is, it should stay at home. You want to present yourself as a good candidate for the person you are dating and someone who has learnt from the past and is prepared to look to the future.
(3) Be Arrogant
It is okay to demonstrate or show-off some of your skills, since it may stand out from the rest of crowd. However, keep it in a way where it allows your partner to make some comments and keep the conversation mutually orientated. There are some who have the tendency to talk about themselves without even pausing to take a break and let the other person talk. It is ok to ask questions to your dating partner, you don’t always have to be in a reactionary mode.
(4) Get Drunk
If you are on your first date, it’s important that you are presenting yourself as a good candidate for a future relationship. If you get drunk on the first night, you will taint yourself with a very negative image. If you must drink, drink lightly so you are completely aware of your senses.
(5) Talk about Sex
Talking about sex too early can easily spark off the wrong signals. For men, it would mean that their interest around the woman only revolves around sex. For women, it can come out as a someone who sleeps around and has had many partners.
