Depression and dating
Depression is a state of mind where one develops a disinterest in every activity, low self esteem and high level of irritability. Depression is caused due to some loss that one feels is unbearable. It could be the death of a loved one, loss of job or a broken relationship. Each person does go through some phase of depression sometime in life. One has to cope with it.
Dating becomes a challenge when you suffer from depression or you are dating a depressed person. These few tips may prove helpful to make dating easier.

Depression is no more a social stigma so it has become more acceptable to seek professional help. Treatment does work positively on almost 80% of the people to alleviate the symptoms of depression and make dating enjoyable.
Don’t discuss your depression on the first date. Only if your relationship gets serious then tell him/her as being dishonest in a relationship doesn’t make you trustworthy.
Exercising is known to improve the mood. Try to exercise with your date which will make you feel more wanted and confident if it is possible. Otherwise join a group and start enjoying your workout to beat depression.
Make sure you don’t date somebody who makes you feel terrible about yourself or consistently puts you down. Avoid that pitfall which may have been the cause of depression.

When you do meet the right person who is understanding and supportive, depression will be driven away and your life will be complete and fulfilling. That is the beauty of dating and companionship.
