Competition between Online Dating Sites - Going in Wrong Direction
Competition is everywhere, we face challenges in every corner of our life and so does every business. In fact, without competition, you won’t understand the importance of success. However, to get attention from people businesses run weird and bizarre campaigns.
There is a lot of competition in online dating industry as it is very difficult for new players to make their mark quickly enough. Things are not so rosy for established dating sites either as they also feel the heat from other players. To attract people, dating sites create different types of marketing campaigns like http://maritalaffair.co.uk did on Facebook which has been coined as the worst campaign of the week?
The recent Facebook marketing campaign by http://maritalaffair.co.uk, asking married couples to register themselves on their facebook page. If they are lucky they will win the £1,800 of their legal cost of break-up.
Through this campaign http://maritalaffair.co.uk – an adult dating site was able to create the buzz in the online dating world but all for the wrong reasons. When you are on an adult dating site you are looking for an intimate encounter and probably not a long term relationship which raises the question as to why you would want to break a relationship when you cannot create one.
The owner of this site Paul Graham has a different view on this and says “When couples are not happy with their relationship there is no point living together. We help them to move on by bearing part of their financial burden.” Well the owner has a valid point but, again this should be the last option.

it is pretty bad, but he does have a point. if the relationship is so bad that they are cheating, and not working on it, then they should get out. the sooner, the better. it’s more damaging to the other person to be unwittingly stuck in a one sided relationship. if the other partner is not willing to work on it, they are better off getting out and moving on.
