Celebrity endorsements of dating sites - Dr Dato’s Brief
I read with interest on fascinating news pieces regarding celebrity endorsements of some dating sites.
The most recent one was Charlie Sheen who was offered a three year $3 million contract with a Canadian dating site called Establishedmen. The contract required Sheen to move from Los Angeles to Toronto and I got thinking that most of Sheen’s notoriety is a result of his presence here in the US and if he were to make the move to Toronto he would fade out of existence and not to mention the mult-million dollar contract he has for his highly popular show 2 and a half men.
Something was a miss here and I had my doubts that this was a simple publicity stunt for the dating site to get some visibility.
My suspicions were confirmed when I read another article on AshleyMadison (dating site for married people) offered a similar endorsement to Tiger Woods. I doubt Tiger Woods was so strapped for money for him to do that stint but the connection between AshleyMadison and Tiger Woods was well matched.
Hmm…. maybe I can approach Ashton Kutcher for a stint with Jumpdates, you never know.

It is similar to endorsing any other brand, it is like celebrity endorse cola brand or any expensive Swiss watch or a footballer endorse sport company. Endorsing any free dating sites or paid dating sites should not be taken with so surprise. I think this trend will go long way where 100 free dating sites want them to make publicity for them.
