You may think social-media came around a few years ago, but in reality the success of these early pioneers was the exploitation of the very social-media campaigns that we talk about today.
They had sufficient funding to create a social ‘buzz’ in the cyber world to catapult them into the top positions of the world they are in today.
Their capital worth would be equal or more in value than century old companies such as GM or Ford.
