Joe was wandering if he should be bring out his gentlemen manners and take her coat, pull her seat… but this was made easier by the woman saying ‘Can I take your coats’.
Joe at times feels awkward in moments like this because the modern world now considers men women as very equal and some women may take offence to acts of chivalry like this.
However, Joe knew that the days of male chivalry was coming back since the feminist movements in the early days had caused more disruptions to the female psyche than any real benefit.
This wasn’t Joe’s opinion, it was the opinion of several of his well known, well educated female friends who had told him the very thing.
