I'm a joker, a toker...Just kidding. I love humor of every kind, from the mundain to the morbid, and all others in between. The call me 'Marty the one man Party', and I try to live up to that name, on occasions. I got that name while in the military. Should you be interested enough to know why, just ask me. I love people and making friends. I usually start conversations in the check out lane, at the store or getting a 'Starbucks' coffee. Some have misinterpruted my actions as a 'pick up line', which had its advantages but was not my goal to do.
I treat people the way that I would like to be treated and I am not judgemental,a bigot or pretentious. I accept people as they are, until they prove different. I am easy going and love to travel. While in the military (Special Forces) one 'had' to be disciplined in accepting other ways of life in order to help and basically, stay alive. Though that isn't the case here, I still enjoy people, period.
My other personality traits:-
I,m kind, considerate, fun loving.....sounds like a resume for being a "Boy Scout", doesn't it. I have empathy for people and do like to help those less fortunate than me. But, with the Special Forces training that I received..I also approach with caution, yet opened minded all the while. People say...."Gee...What a Nice Guy." (ha) a quote from the movie, 'Young Frankenstein.' Yes, I also have humor,though others might question that ability. What else? I don't know. Or as a contestant for the World Pagent would say,..." I would like world peace, in my lifetime'. We should live that long, huh? Come on, now...be nice.

What I'm a looking for? A woman..any woman, breathing or not. It's so lonely out here. Just joking. Actually, I am not really looking for anyone in particular, at this time...but you never know and I am always opened to options and opportunities. (ha) I would like to meet someone that has humor ( to put up with me), a good and pleasant personality, pretty eyes are a favorite but not essential, weight and height proportional, and ...'breathing'. I love to travel and if she is so inclined, that would be great, as well. I love the casino scene on occasions and a candle-lit dinner at home. No walking on the beach. I've stormed enough beaches in my lifetime while in the military (ha) Seriously though, I have no real agenda for what is right or what is proper. A nice smile..a friendly disposition..a good conversation. Just be yourself, that's all it takes, and an enjoyment for life, in general. I guess that should attract at least one of you, I hope. (lol)

I am a recently retired military officer, with over 20 years in service (Special Forces). I still enjoy the outdoors such as camping, rock climbing, the open desert and the High Sierrs's. I enjoy nature and its surrondings, with its beautiful sunrises and sunsets, a stormy and rainy night are also on the list. Just hearing the pitter patter of rain on my helmet...oops. Too many years in the military. But I still love the rain regardless. At present, I have duel residency in California and Nevada, Arizona (tri-state) areas. I love the desert heat and decidied to buy a home along the Colorado River, near Laughlin, Nevada for summer fun and property investments. I also reside in Southern California, where I was originally from, prior to making a career out of the military. I've travel most of the world, missing Australia and a few European countries, but still have the travel 'bug' in me and I sometimes leave at the drop of a hat. The last destination was the Philipines, where I was stationed, many years ago. Just love that place, the people and the food. I do have an urge to see Russia and China, next. Let's see what happens. And I can't forget Japan. Haven't been there yet.
Religious/Spiritual Values:-
I am spiritual, rather than religious. I would like to think of myself as one with nature, like the American Indian or a Wicca praticipant. The healing powers of herbs, the practice of holistic medicine, yoga and meditation are part of this, as well.The trees and the animals and Mother Nature are looked upon as my belief as well as a Greater Spirit looking down and assisting us in our daily existence, in this world. I tired of the rigors of organized religion where 'this' and 'that' were taboo and sinful.How various religions professed to have the one and only true deity and that others were wrong. How dare they be so arrogant and pretenteous. They are hypocrites and prejudice people that supposively spread good will, while not praticing what they preach. Enough said on that matter. But I do respect the beliefs of others and have faithfully supported them, and fought for their freedoms, to worship and enjoy their culture and life styles, while in the military. Isn't that what life is all about? I think so. Live and let live and be in peace with one another, as well as in Nature.

My career, was that of a Military Officer for over 20 years. I recently retired and among some of my personal goals are to.....enjoy and have fun. Not all the time of course, but I sure have missed that option in life. I have dabbled in some real estate ventures and I am in the process of obtaining an elderly care facility or one that deals with developmently disabled adults. I find that helping and assisting these individuals, a heart warm experience. I volunteer in a job shop environment, working with developmently disabled adults with higher functioning abilities, and it is just beautiful. These individuals are pure at heart and either accept you or ignore you. They seem to know what is in your soul and determine if you are a 'good person' or not. I love them all, just as if they were my children. Anyway..
That is one goal that I perceive obtainable within the next two to four weeks from this posting. In the meantime I would like to continue my education in other fields such as , sign language, becoming a webmaster, and furthering my education on holistic and natural medicines. I have one-eighth American Indian blood and have heard great remedies that really work, that have been passed down thru my family tree. I also use some of the herbs and teas that provide healthy and nutritional benefits, whenever possible.
